Takeaways from the USWNT January Call-Ups

Emma Hayes continues her tradition of having debut call-ups in camps- midfielders Riley Jackson and Sally Menti and forwards Maddie Dahlien and Reilyn Turner are uncapped at the senior level.

Trinity Rodman is back in camp for the U.S. and is the most experienced member of the current roster having picked up 47 international senior-level appearances. Worth noting, though, that she's currently listed as "unattached" and not with Washington.

Rose Lavelle isn't in the squad for the January games- I'm guessing, from an analytical standpoint, that means that her spot for the CONCACAF qualifiers is essentially secure (she does have over 100 senior-level international appearances for the U.S. after all).

Olivia Moultrie switches back to midfield. She was in the forward rotation for the November/December games but switches back to her usual position for these games. In my mind, that's because midfield is her best spot- she was a MOTY finalist at the NWSL awards.

Jordan Silkowitz is back in the goalie room. She was called up for the November/December games but didn't get any minutes- that was more than likely to get her camp experience. Since Paraguay and Chile are a bit further down the rankings, Jordan could appear on either the 24th or 27th and be on track for November's CONCACAF qualifiers for the World Cup... at least that's how I'm seeing things.
She's joined in the goalie room by Claudia Dickey (6 apps) and Mandy McGlynn (4 apps), both competitive returners for the senior team.
